Las Vegas

We book ended our trip with stops in Las Vegas. After a long day of traveling it was so nice to relax in our hotel. We are never disappointed by the Homewood Suites.

On the way down we stopped at the Las Vegas Temple.

Karebear loved the palm trees

On the way back we went down to the Belaigo. The foundations are pretty neat but kind of a let down after seeing World of Color. Pretty amazing what can be done with water. We enjoyed walking through the lobby and seeing the blown glass. (You'll have to ignore the crappy lighting)

Heisler Park

Disneyland is fun but it can wear you out. We enjoyed a down day the middle of the week. In the planning stages of our vacation we found out that my husband's brother and his family had also planned their vacation for the same week. It was fun to occasionally bump into them and we really enjoyed spending a little time at the beach together. We went to Heisler Park. Loved this beach. It had a little of everything-waves, sand, sun, tide pools, grassy walk ways.

It's cold

Sand in the hair-it's the latest baby fashion

Spring Break

Can you guess where we just spent a week at?

Our five princesses

Not always the happiest place on earth when you have a baby

Thankfully, the next day she was a little more agreeable

Won't catch mom on this ride

Had to work it pretty hard but we were able to get fast passes for Racers, thus avoiding the 3 hr. line

Love that there is something for everyone no matter how little

Wouldn't be complete without a few character pictures

Made Bud Boy's day

Tom Sawyers Island-never been here before

Pretty intricate caves on that Island

Like Father, like Son

Just how many can you cram into a ride?
Wish we could have repeated this ride.

Highlights we hope not to forget
  • Minnie getting surprised by those singing bees at the end of the Winnie-the-pooh ride
  • Bud Boy getting a little too scared on the Haunted Mansion. For the rest of the trip he didn't want to go on any inside ride.
  • Was it crowded? Yes, but when isn't it? We still got to do most everything we wanted to. Grateful for the rider switch so most of use got to repeat some rides.
  • Playing dumb really works when you are a cute, teenager girl talking to a teenage boy attendant in hopes of another ride on Tower of Terror.
  • Stayed at the Best Western PLUS Raffle Inn & Suites. Wasn't bad. Could use new carpets, especially when you have a crawler, and a nicer sofa bed. Being within walking distance of the parking lot shuttle bus so worth it!
  • Loved the Aladdin show in California Adventure, Hollywood Land. So funny!
  • Favorite ride for of all us-Space Mountain
  • Being the only people in shorts on our last stop one hour from home. Missing the warmer weather.
  • Jolly J's help with our baby while traveling. Couldn't have asked for better travelers. Especially when it took 1 1/2 hours to go 20 miles near the California Border. Way to waiste the baby's nap time.
