On my dad's side of the family we have a family letter. Each month we write a summary of the happening for the previous month. We then send this and any related pictures to my grandfather. He then complies everyone's entries on a family web site. It is a great way to keep in touch- especially with cousins.
Here's part of this month's entry.
This month our sixth child decided to make it's presence known.
SURPRISE! (Kind of was for us too).
We have spent the most of the month adjusting to this news. We are all excited for a new little one, it's just the pregnancy we aren't necessarily thrilled about.

The fun thing is that this will be the seventeenth grandchild for both sides of our family!
I wish we could also say we are in the seventeenth week but time isn't going quite that fast.
Quite the opposite.
It's just one day at a time as we all endure mom being sick.
We've endured ten weeks, heard a heart beat (yay!) and truly looking forward to week seventeen for that is when things have traditionally started to lightened up in the nausea and vomiting area. Hopefully then things will seem a little more exciting as we prepare for this little one's arrival sometime around..........
March 10 ( Not 17- but wouldn't that have been neat! )

Congrats again, we're excited to have another niece or nephew! Sorry about being sick - let me know if there is anything we can do to help. And another March birthday! Wouldn't that be funny if it did happen on March 17th, and you'd have two on that day? I also think it's neat that each of you come from families of 6 kids, and know you'll have 6 as well. Love you and your growing family!
ReplyDeleteKara, CONGRATULATIONS! That's realy exciting news!
ReplyDeleteJessica-definitely don't want the 17th. Pregnancy is long enough. We're just hoping to avoid Bud Boy's b-day which is a week earlier (have no idea what is up with us and March). I've been a week early for the last four.
ReplyDeleteCongrats again! We'll try not to steal the 17th place...I'd rather have the 18th anyway. :) I can sympathize more with the sickness this time. Hope it gets better for you soon. And what are the odds that we have the same due date???
ReplyDeleteI think this is very happy news--not the nausea, but the rest of it! Congrats! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats. that is soo exciting. Sorry you are not feeling good. I hope this pregnancy is a better than the others have been. lots of hugs.
