The Wisdom of a Child

There once was a teacher, two male teachers to be exact, who attempted to teach a class of four year olds about a Nephite man named Ammon.

Ammon lived a long time ago. He went on a mission to the Lamanites. When he reached the Lamanites he was bound, which was the customary treatment of that time, and taken to the king. The king asked Ammon what he wanted. Ammon said he wanted to be a servant. One day Ammon and the other servants were taking the sheep to get water at the river. Some mean men came and started to scattered the flocks. The Lamanite servants with Ammon were afraid. The knew that the king would slay them, he would cut off their heads.

One little precocious girl piped up, "But that means they wouldn't be able to see where they were going."

Thank goodness to teachers who take the time to share the cute and fun things our children say.
